Last Wednesday was highschool basketball tryouts. Evan made the JV team as a freshman. Just as soon as he made the team, he was given a calendar filled with play days, practices, camps, and open gyms. This is good; it will keep him busy while I'm still at work!
Tonight he attended round two of travel soccer tryouts at a new club. On Monday I left round one with a migraine because there were so many great players, and although it was so awe-inspiring to see, it was completely nerve-wrecking! I couldn't imagine how the coach was going to decide which of these 39 boys was going to make the roster of 16. However, tonight Evan was one of eight to get an offer on the gold team! He returns next Wednesday for another tryout so the remaining positions can be filled.
It's been a big week for a boy with big dreams.
