Five years later we have grown to love Tennessee as much as our home state of Texas. Our adventures as a military family continue in the land made famous for country music and hot chicken. As much as our lives have changed with our twenty plus years in the military, much remains the same. We spend our weekends playing soccer, our winters on the beach, and our holidays with family.

Snow Day #4
Another snow day here in Tennessee but you won't hear any of us complaining. We have worked from home, cooked, played, relaxed, read, slept, and enjoyed not having a reason to get up each morning. Snow totals only reached six inches, but it was packed down enough today for the boys to go sledding.
I'm certain another batch of snow cream is in order. Perhaps another batch of cookies and possibly a movie will also make the to-do list.

Snow Day #4
We have not left the house since Sunday when we got home from church. For three and a half days we have been living it up playing pool, sledding, cooking, eating, and sitting by the fire watching basketball.
Tomorrow the boys have another snow day. They were extremely excited to learn they would spend another day in the soybean fields having sled races!
This mama has been just as excited to spend lazy days at home and will be even happier if she gets to stay home tomorrow, too!

Winter Wonderland
The first of the snow has arrived and it is absolutely beautiful!
We spent an hour this morning sledding, throwing snowballs, and making snow
angels in about fourteen inches of perfect, powder snow.
