Happy Easter

Happy Easter! 

We woke up to the Easter Bunny’s gifts. I heard she especially enjoyed dropping off a basket for Anna filled with all things girl. 

After church, (the choir was on point today and many times they are not), 

we had a mid-meal (I’m never cooking scalloped potatoes again) with a surprise pop-in visit with my mom and dad! 

I love my house in spring! The fresh flower bouquets. Hand painted eggs from Europe. My boys’ art work that I have kept safe through move after move after move. The dogwood trees in bloom. Warm weather. It’s perfection!

The kids are headed back to school to wrap up the semester. 



And now it’s my spring break! Let the next travel adventures begin! 

Fun with Friend and Flowers

Tonight my dear friend Tina and I attended another floral arrangement class. We made an Easter bouquet with fresh carrots, tulips, and hydrangeas. To top it off, I was home by 7:30 - a dream for middle aged people with early alarms.

The carrots at the base of the vase didn’t cooperate, but the re-flexed tulip is beautiful! I planted this exact variety last month in the bed around the pool. I’m really hoping my Amsterdam tulips will bloom next year. 

Now I just hope it stays fresh until Easter dinner!

Smart Guy

This came in the mail. 

Evan said, “Woa! $95 for somebody to tell me I’m smart? Don’t think I can swing that.”

He’s not joining but we are so proud of the recognition. 

Spring Break

Tell me Evan’s home without telling me Evan’s home. 

Both of them were found on his nightstand. It’s still 2003 around here. 

Joy

This amaryllis bulb was given to me for my birthday and has brought me so much joy this last month. 

Family Affair

There’s not much that could bring us together in Nash on a school night, but when Messi plays, we drop everything to watch. 

I thought we had the win; it’s tough to lose the lead in extra time. We were so close! 

After only four hours of sleep, tomorrow will be rough!
